    2018 What a year!

As I will be tied up with the festive season I thought I would sum up my year (and what a year!)
A year that has seen my baby girl married, my graduation with a BA in facilities management from Sheffield Hallam University, becoming a member of IFE, advancing to a certified member of the newly re-named IWFM and finally to round off a very sedate year, the formation of my own consultancy.

2018 has been a massively full-on year and there has not been a moment to sit back and reflect, so this is that moment. Firstly I would like to thank those people who have recommended my services via Linked In and other sources, and to those organisations who have put services to the test.
I hope i have fulfilled all of your requirements and surpassed your expectations?
It has been hugely humbling to be given so many recommendations considering that my business is in its infancy, it just shows that if you set your stall out to be transparent and open you can achieve great things.

I have been privileged to work with a number of wonderful organisations in the ten short weeks that I have been operating my consultancy, to mention a few:

    Infinis Energy
    Ventient Energy
    Molson-Coors Brewery
    YMD Boon
    Yellow Bean recording studios
    Fortress Build
    College of West Anglia
    Amberfire
    SSiFM

And the list goes on, with a number of very exciting agreements in the pipeline for early 2019. I have been overwhelmed by the support of my fellow professionals and I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a wonderfully prosperous New Year and I hope to be working with lots of new organisations as the New Year rolls around.

If there is anything I can assist with, if there is a risk assessment that requires reviewing, a service audit that requires undertaking or even just some free advice. Please give me a call or drop me an email, I look forward to meeting with you all during 2019.

    Thank you once again, Martin.

  • A month touring the UK assessing renewable energy sites

I have spent a really enjoyable two and a half weeks on the road up to now, fire risk assessing renewable energy sites. Both wind farms and landfill methane reclaim sites have been visited and assessed for fire safety.

I have stayed on the banks of Loch Fyne, travelled past Ben Nevis, through Aviemore and smelt the whiskey coming from the Glenmorangie distillery (from outside the gates!) and driven along some of the most scenic roads in the UK.

There are still more sites between Glasgow and Newquay (Cornwall) to be completed in the next 2 weeks, yet more beautiful areas to be discovered.

I am looking forward to completing these sites and spending a few nights back in my own bed soon.
